First full day as a blogger

Well, so far life as a blogger isn't as glamorous as I had hoped. After explaining the idea to the kids, it seems that the concept is old hat for many not terribly exciting for others. My hope that it would get me out of household chores appears to have been misplaced as well.

Nontheless, One stop musing and opinionating is still attractive for me. Last night I spent time reading other blogs. They were mostly quite impressive and well done. I've decided to have very low standards for mine because as much as I like tickling the keypad in thought about this or that political question or issue, I doubt I will take the time serious bloggers do to make their efforts more readable and entertaining, though I will try to put up video and pictures when helpful or funny.

Now that you seem to have the ear of at least one other person, please come clean and admit that you spilled the bleach. Since I am going to outlive you (thereby making a graveside confession impossible) I ask that you rid your soul of this guilt by finally admitting your guilt. I know you lied before God (on my wedding day) but now is the right time. Can I say RIGHT time on this blog? Anyway I am giving you one last chance to be a man and admit to your crime. What does it matter--I already paid for that carpet 20 years ago.

Dear Scooter,
I would like to get verification of the 4 children that you mention as I do not believe that statistic is completely accurate. Has my Godson been born? Please let me know as I have the stroller.

And how can I get one of those paintings for free?

Oh, and thanks again for the NY Giants SuperBowl T. Too bad the Pats lost the only game they really needed to win.

Oh, Jerry:

Since it isn't posted and, as a liberal in good standing truth is your guiding beacon in everything, I can only guess that somehow you didn't get my first comment to you. So here it is again. I look forward to seeing it here in the comments section:

Jerrold:

Thank you for the brilliant and insightful review of Liberal Fascism, a book you have not read and whose author you don't seem to know. (Jonah Goldberg is his name.) Your clever and wise insights into this 485 page, heavily researched work is impressive.

Sight unseen you know that it is an example of "vicious intellecualism". Since you haven't read a word of it, it must be true. I am sure that what's-his-name who wrote whatchamacallit-the-book are not "serious thinkers...you know, like you. I mean you have the serious thinker's gift of knowing without knowledge, a real serious man's talent. You seem to know that what's-his-name who wrote whatchamacallit-the-book and Thomas Sowell (or whoever the hell he is as he is probably known around the Duquette home. I have no knowledge of this but I am a "serious thinker" like you so what I say is, of course true) have called liberals, commies. The fact that you cannot point to them ever having said this is unimportant. Facts are what you say they are, right?

Well, I could go on, but why bother? I'm sure you know whatever else I might have said. I have some requests though: Could you please write some reviews of restaurants you've never been to and let me know what their best menu items are? Also, could you please give me detailed reviews of some current movies you haven't seen. The more detailed the better.

Your opinion is very important to me.
